One, two, Jiggly’s coming for you
Three, Four, grab your Xros Loader
Five, Six, feel the Draining Kiss
Seven, Eight, your general’s too late
Nine, Ten, the Fairies win again…

So let’s see. I’ve seen a lot from you, and where to begin…
For starters, I see that you’ve taken elements from both the Anime!Kiriha and Manga!Kiriha. Both of which are astoundingly different, yet at the same time you’ve somehow managed to capture the essence of both, so it appears to me.
Judging from solely the description from which you’ve provided, in explaining concisely of what Kiriha’s been up to post-Xros Wars into Hunters, I believe you’ve done a good job of explaining his primary motivations within roleplay– including how he’s changed as a character beyond the time span he was presented. With that in mind, you’ve also given enough detail to get a gist of what his past is like, and again, have outright stated what he’s been up to– which, I commend you for.
You’ve given your muse a goal which he strives for, without making him out of character. While stated that he’s mellowed out (just a bit), he retains the passion that he discovered and nurtured within Xros Wars– considering everything that has happened to him and what being a general means to him, even if he isn’t a general anymore, you’ve proven the point in your roleplays that he’s still the commandeering and passionate general that he was in Xros Wars– so at least, from what I’ve seen so far. He vaguely has me under the impression that he’s a sleeping giant.
You’ve also done well in expanding off of canon based on the anime media and manga media, and I commend you for that. Your twist on Kiriha is refreshing in comparison to the norm, however cool, audacious, and snarky he may be in his roleplays, responses, or asks. In several of your posts, you’ve given more depth to him than a description could do justice.
However, I stress the importance of being careful with mixing media, because jumping back and forth between a series as different as the Manga and Anime can be potentially disastrous if you lose track of your roleplays. It’s the same principle as hopping back and forth between dubs, but I digress.
I make the admission that you acknowledge that and do well to play him accordingly based on your interpretations of his character based within canon, and accommodate others whom you play with based on their preference. In the future, this may end up being potentially tricky for you, so proceed with caution– because like I said, that’s some dangerous territory you’re playing in in the event you lose track of what you’re doing.
The characters accompanying Kiriha in this blog are astoundingly in character– I notice, that you have a bias towards the Greymon of Manga!Xros Wars– which, isn’t really wrong I suppose. If he had a voice, I would be more than happy to tell you that I can read your posts including Greymon with a voice– This applies to Mailbirdramon, and Dracomon as well. I have yet to see Deckerdramon being posted (but I may have missed it–), but judging from your previous performances with the other members of Blue Flare, I would expect nothing less than an excellent portrayal of the guardian of love.
Generally looking at your roleplays, the quality is stupendous. I disregard post length so as long as the presence of quality is there, and you are most likely the most quality Kiriha Roleplay I have ever seen on tumblr. The writing is glorious and your justifications in your posts only prove yourself as a writer. I don’t give praise to those who are undeserving of it, but you are absolutely amazing.
With that said, don’t let it go to your head. You’re writing Kiriha to understand him more, yes? There’s ways for you to go, and who knows? You may discover something you never knew as you continue your forays as an aspiring writer. I look forward to that.
I have to hand it to you either way. Kudos to you.
ooc;
This is… really unexpected. I’m kind of at a loss of what to say really; there’s a lot of things going through my mind that I can’t articulate all at once.
But yes, I am writing Kiriha to understand him better – and to further develop his character. I feel that there’s still plenty of room left to explore his character, what with how both forms of media portrayed him to be. I want to explore these territories – territories I have yet to see. I want to try different possibilities for him, and as you said, I’m aware that I’m mixing canon here from both medias.
However, that’s not to say I’m trying to make those two different continuities overlap; rather, I’ve tried to extract the prominent qualities from both of his portrayals, and put them into play in my roleplays. Because somehow, I do believe that by doing that, I’ll be able to achieve and establish a more broadened, developed portrayal for him – in a way that it could be arranged for my roleplay partners, and in a way that would show how much he’s matured over the years as well.
But, I will take note of what you’ve said. Indeed, mixing canons can be rather disastrous. I’ve seen plenty to understand that, and I have experienced some moments where I felt a bit disoriented as I wrote. But I really do believe I can still pull through – I just have to be careful.
I’m assuming that you’ve read his biography page though, and I’m a little embarrassed, haha… Since I really don’t feel that I’ve managed to fully capture my interpretation of him quite just yet. I still feel like I have a long way to go. But, that’s the idea of it, isn’t it? To explore his character and nurture it along the way. And as for the Blue Flare team… You’re quite right about my bias of Greymon – I hadn’t even took notice of that until now. While I believe Kiriha has deepened his bonds with his team over time; Greymon, MailBirdramon, Deckerdramon, Dracomon; I feel that he and Greymon have this closely-knotted link that I can’t quite explain just yet. I like to think that Kiriha’s bonds with the individual members of Blue Flare have become more diverse, yet still interchangeable at the same time, in a way that ties them together as compatible partners. And yes, I haven’t written anything about Deckerdramon so far, much to my chagrin, haha.
I enjoy writing him and his team, as I do with writing in general. And I’m going to keep at it, and hopefully I can achieve a better representation of him – a fairly justified character I envision.
All in all, thank you for taking the time out of your hands to write this, even though it wasn’t obligatory at all – I’ll take notes of the points you’ve mentioned for future reference. I appreciate that.

He pause at the door posting the said picture though his letter box, tapping on the door quickly, before turning around and running for her life to get out of there

He snatches the picture and irately rips it apart, shredding it to pieces and looking clearly outraged.

…I think my badass image of Kiriha just plummeted like a dead rocket. ]

He simply ignores the girls stare, pretending not to notice. Albeit feeling mildly annoyed, but he ignores her nonetheless.
A faint tic then appears above his brow.
