In exploring the interior of the coliseum with V.V. tailing right behind her, she thought for sure that the door they found would lead them somewhere further into the tower— she thought they both had been making progress in getting out.

Not this time, it seemed.

“Eh… It looks like we ended up in another weird place.” Rina sighed, setting down her hood to scratch her head.

After zipping up her jacket again, she peered down at her partner with a concerned expression. Since the moment they had appeared in this area, he had clung to one of her legs, as if he were afraid of being swept away by the crowd.

Catching immediately onto her partner’s discomfort, she picked him up. 

“Don’t worry, V.V. We’ll get through this in no time at all.” She whispered,  hastily lifting up her hood again. The next moment, she darted away from the crowd in search for a more secluded area, unaware that she was being followed.

His steps became quicker when the girl took the blue Digimon into her arms and began moving away from the crowd. Pushing past the bystanders and swerving through the people that moved about, Kiriha still kept his eyes focused on the girl’s back.

The way she’d moved away when he was about to approach her, it almost seemed to him like this girl could just sense him trailing after her. Almost.

But she didn’t seem to glance back or show any sort of sign of recognition, so he disregarded that assumption as a mere coincidence.

When he thought he’d gotten close enough to be within hearing shot, Kiriha called out to her.

“Hey, you – the girl with the black hood there, hold it.”

His tone didn’t sound quite harsh or reprimanding, but it wasn’t exactly a pleasing tone either. It was merely blunt and to the point.
