He turns away from Kiriha for a moment to compose himself and watches as Veemon and Guilmon are finally free.
Tagiru’s rage instantly vanishes, and he completely ignores Kiriha’s mention of ‘goggle head’ again. Instead, he grins broadly. “So you just admitted to liking Nene then, right Kiriha? Because Taiki likes Akari a lot even if he won’t admit it and you said it was just like him so that means you like her?” He laughs loudly.
“Don’t be insane,” Taiki elbows him in the stomach.
“Yeah, and I’ll believe it like I believe in Santa,” he scoffs, seemingly satisfied as he catches a glimpse of the look on Taiki’s face.
Turning to Tagiru, however, his face slowly morphs into that of a mildly exasperated look.
“…I take back what I said about you earlier,” he says, “Where you got that idea from is beyond me. Can’t you tell a joke from a statement?”
